The centurions in the first books (Asterix the Gaul, Asterix and The Golden Sickle, Asterix and the Goths, Asterix The Gladiator and Asterix and The Banquet),as well as the legionaries bare a great difference to the centurions in the later book. The colour of the armor, capes, shields switches form white, red, yellow. After the sixth album Asterix and Cleopatra they all wear green toga's and golden armor. Also the "three white armors" is a reference to centurion Crismus Bonus from Asterix the Gaul, the never named centurion in Lutetia form Asterix and the Golden Sickle and general Cantankerus form Asterix and the Goths!
