Roger Carel (1927-2020) was a French actor and voice artist.
He is sometimes considered the French equivlant of Mel Blanc. He has provided the voice of Asterix and Dogmatix in all the Asterix animated films from 1967 to 2014 (the year he retired). His other notable roles include French dub voices for other well-known characters such as Mickey Mouse, Kermit The Frog, ALF, Kaa from Jungle Book and C3PO from Star Wars.
