Lutetia (French: Lutèce) is the capital and largest city of Gaul. The center of modern Paris, it consisted of a large walled fortress on the present-day Île de la Cité. During the time of the Asterisk stories, it has already been occupied by the Romans but much of its population remains Gaulish. It is the home of Impedimenta's brother Homeopathix and Obelix's cousin Metallurgix. It is visited by Asterix and Obelix in Asterix and the Banquet.
