Bacchus is a character from The Twelve Tasks of Asterix. He is briefly seen alongside the other Olympian gods when Asterix correctly answers the Old Man of the Mountain's riddle, lying on a cloud and hiccuping drunkenly as Jupiter justifies his refusal to elevate Asterix and Obelix to godhood by saying "[they] don't let all and sundry in, like a pub."
